I had no idea about The House of the Dead series until I received this game as a thoughtful gift from friends who know how much I love zombie movies. It’s a fast-paced and thrilling arcade-style shooter that’s packed with fun—and a few jump scares for good measure. While the gameplay is undeniably exciting, playing it on the Switch adds an extra layer of challenge with its tricky aiming mechanics. Needless to say, I die often, as mastering the aiming hasn’t been my forte! Despite the difficulty, I really enjoyed the challenge, and at one point, this game became my go-to for train rides. I’d tap away furiously, fully immersed in the zombie chaos, only to look up and catch people giving me curious glances.
